Formative Presentation Evalution
This week I had my formative presentation on my character project. All in all I dont feel it went all that great and as much as I was extremely nervous I'm still glad that I did do it as I am able to mkae sure those mistakes aren't made in the summative presentation which would decrease my grade alot. As we were able to receive feedback to help improve our past presentations I took down notes as my way of recoding them and the notes were as follows:, - Get rid of second slide that explains background, as isn't needed and can just be briefly explained in 2 sentences top. -make all images less cropped and make them full screen to be able to properly see and fully utilise the space on slides. -Improve the concepts more. -improve contrast and colour. -change the body weight and shape of 3-d model as she has an unnatural lean and overly large hip, bottom and thigh area. -change wire frame shots so that they are on a mesh so that the topology is more easily seen. -work into textures, giving more dimension and less of a blocky colour. make sure to create the poster and include it. -try a paint over, to show what could be done. - make background of slides in general more personal and not to use to many words or the uni template. I was however told that my initial design is simple yet interesting that with a little more work it could be executed really well and also that modelling of the hair was pretty good. So action plan for next and final presentation is to makes sure I i tick off all of these to really improve my presentation and make sure to practice it.
